Occupational Health and Safety

Shorelands Group places the health and safety of our people as our highest priority. Our key objective is a workplace free of accidents, incidents, injuries and damage to the property and the environment.

To do this we have developed and maintained safe systems of work and a safe working environment through our Integrated Management System (IMS). This also supports our commitment to current OH&S legislation and other requirements placed on the organisations.

The IMS has been developed to incorporate the key components of the following Standards in a practical and achievable way:

  • AS/NZS 4801:2001 Occupational Health and Safety
  • AS/NZS ISO 14001:1996 Environment
  • AS/NZS ISO 9001: 2001 Quality

We encourage and support our staff to implement the IMS by identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks to themselves, others, the environment, and property.

We provide information and training to enable all workers to support this policy.

To ensure that our commitment to health, safety and the environment is maintained, we set measurable targets and seek to continually improve our performance through periodic review.

Shorelands Group encourages a positive attitude and performance with respect to quality, health, safety and the environment by all employees.
